Challenge: Continuously sync data from Postgres DB and model the data in the data warehouse to prepare it for further use with a BI tool.
One of the primary challenges for NirogGyan is that they have to standardize their data and link it with their health data and knowledge hub.
Why Datazip?
Diffused data ownership is very challenging for early-stage organizations. Everyone is trying to do multiple things and speed is of greater importance than long-term viability of things like data strategy. But as soon as companies look to expand their value proposition, and get efficient at various levels, data comes to immense use.
NirogGyan has two important sources of data, the incoming Lab reports data and the high-quality knowledge data on health. Both of these datasets have to be joined for the enablement of rich analytics use cases. But for this to happen, the data in the tables need to be standardized and this is many times easier if all the required data is synced to one data store and mapped to the right values.
As an early-stage team that has to optimize time and resources, Datazip removed the requirement of hiring a Data engineer and quickly set up the end-to-end data infrastructure that enabled great data visibility. This information is currently being used to continuously improve the source-level schemas and data validations that would tremendously improve data quality and easier standardization of the data.
The next level of data use case for NirogGyan is to be able to strike chat-based personalized conversations with users to help them navigate the complex world of health care with easy-to-understand explanations.

This is in line with Global Nutrition Report 2017, that over half (51%) of Indian women of reproductive age (15 to 49 years) are anemic.
